Aloha!
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise! Chartered on May 7, 1990 we are known for our enthusiasm, infectious spirit, camaraderie and commitment to serve others. We work together on a number of different projects each year that benefit Hawaii’s youth and communities in urban Honolulu.
The Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise has been selected three times as the District 5000 “Rotary Club of the Year.” We’re also known as the “Read to Me Club” and was a recipient of the coveted Rotary Achievements Award for assisting in the development of the “Read to Me” program, which later became Read To Me International.
We’re also known for our flagship local and international community service efforts on behalf of children and youth in the areas of literacy, health and well-being.
Although membership in the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise is by invitation, we encourage you to learn more about Rotary and what it means to be a Rotarian. We meet every Monday from 7:15 AM to 8:15 AM at the Pacific Club located at 1451 Queen Emma Street, in downtown Honolulu. Our fellowship, greeting, and breakfast begins at 6:45 AM; meetings start exactly at 7:15 AM. We wear aloha attire.
We don’t just talk about “Service Above Self,” we live it! Come find out how you can make a difference in our community, have good fun with others, and discover what makes getting up at the crack of dawn on Monday to start your work-week so rewarding.
