President’s Message

Aloha!

We started our year by providing service to others through our painting project at Voyager Charter School and camping with the Cambodian community and the blind at Bellows beach. In many ways, these service projects signify our members’ commitment and enthusiasm in promoting Rotary’s mission. Subsequently, we continued our momentum by providing much needed school supplies for some of our neighborhood public schools.

Donating our time and energy for the benefit of the community is certainly an act of service above self. Life is always better when we realize someone cares about us. When we take the time to let people know that we care, they become closer to us as human beings.

As membership is the lifeblood of our organization, I challenge all of you to focus on membership retention and recruitment. Our membership chairs are putting together a robust plan to enhance retention and boost recruitment. We intend to add one new member every month. To date, we are on track!

Through our visioning session, we have renewed our commitment to support our signature projects such as Read To Me International, continued support of eGlobal Family, our ability to paint, and our business game plan. We are also searching for a new major project to replace our 12-year Royal Scholar initiative.  Everyone is excited to embark on our Rotary journey.

As a group, we have been having fun together both inside and outside our club. I am really proud to be your president for this year and would like to thank you for the trust you place in me.

Yours in Rotary,

Amin Leiman
